Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD drive, however it exists only virtually.

Probably the best virtual drive software, Virtual CloneDrive allows you to enjoy the freedom of a virtual drive and is completely free.

Virtual CloneDrive will support all major image formats, such as an ISO or CCD file. It can support up to eight virtual drives at the same time! It’s very simple to use… just double-click an image file to mount it as a drive within the program.

Effectively, it’s like adding an extra DVD drive to your machine but it exists only virtually on your desktop. You can also use it to create image files which can then be “inserted” into the virtual drive from your hard disk or from a network drive and thus be used like a normal DVD.To use it, you don’t even need to access the main interface.

You can either mount a file by right clicking on it or via Explorer which should give you the option to mount it from there. When you do so, you’re usually prompted if you want Virtual CloneDrive to execute the Autorun.exe file in your ISO or IMG. Alternatively, it will ask you if you want to browse the files contained within it.
