PeerGuardian is a powerful, yet small firewall program that was especially designed for P2P users who want to protect their computers from unauthorized searches instigated by private agencies and corporations.
PeerGuardian is Phoenix Labs’ premier IP blocker for Windows.
PeerGuardian integrates support for multiple lists, list editing, automatic updates, and blocking all of IPv4 (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc), making it the safest and easiest way to protect your privacy on P2P.
PeerGuardian is compatible with all TCP/IP based file sharing applications, such as Kazaa, iMesh, LimeWire, eMule, Grokster, DC++, Shareaza, and more. In short, PeerGuardian is the must have tool for any file swapper.
PeerGuardian is not advertising supported, nor does it require registration, and no information is collected from or about product users.
New in This Release:
- This fixes a couple bugs, updates some urls, and adds a new feature:
- Update servers will be auto-allowed while updating, and then go back to regular settings (ie if they are blocked) when it’s done. this can be turned off via the config file AllowUpdates setting, but is not recommended!
- Also has a performance enhancement in the driver
-Supports Vista and all other windows versions – all in one installer.
Development of this title has been discontinued by the original authors, but has been continued by a new team under the name of PeerBlock.
