Disk Password Protection suggests a complex of password security tools to ensure comprehensive and strong access protection of your hard drive and disk partitions.
Disk Password Protection offers users the option to choose what kind of protection they need. Disk Password Protection is a security tool that allows you to protect partitions and passwords.
Through password protecting a disk, disk partition or operating system launch, the program disables any unauthorized reading/writing activity on your disk or PC, restricts access and launch of specific disks and files.
The program suggests multiple password protection options to choose from for the user to find the type of protection they need. The user will be guided through the whole process by a user-friendly step-by-step wizard.
Boot protection: Disk Password Protection enables password protection of the system launch. It prevents the operating system from booting so that no unauthorized person can start working with the PC without entering a correct password. None of the operating systems installed will boot, since the system loader will be blocked from being read from the disk. The protection does not depend on any such factors as operating systems, disk formatting or uninstalling the program, and can only be disabled with the Disk Password Protection program.
Partition protection: If there is no need in restricting access to the whole system, and confidential data are stored only on a separate disk partition, Disk Password Protection can secure any specific disk partition or as many partitions as the user wants. With the protection activated, the partition will be invisible to the operating system and will appear as a free disk space. No operations can be done with this disk partition, and no other program or operating system can detect its presence in the hard drive. Unless the user runs the Disk Password Protection program and disables protection for the partition through entering a valid password, the partition will stay invisible. The protection can be enabled also for removable disks, such as flash drives, USB storage devices, external hard disks, etc.).
The Low-Level Protection option allows users to blocks all attempts to read/write to/from the protected disk.
The drive itself will appear as if it were just manufactured and is not formatted to perform any operations. This protection works only for ATA-compatible disks and must be activated in MS-DOS.
